Bully My Son and Ill Beat Your Family
Is it awful, no...
"How To Beat A Bully" is a new film that kids from well-nigh 7 to 12 volition probably savour. Information technology has very broad humor and there are lots of scatological references in the terminal 15 minutes of the film. I can picture in my mind kids rolling in laughter because of the rude jokes and silly situations. As for everyone else, the motion picture is problematic. The acting and writing are such that near adults but will plough off their brains or leave the room to let the kids savour it without them. As for younger kids, they probably won't sympathize much of the plot...though they, too, will probably dear all the poop jokes near the stop.
When the film begins, Cory and his family unit are packing up and moving from New Jersey to California. Non surprisingly Cory is not excited about the move just it becomes worse when he begins at a new school...where are plenty of bullies who are more than than fix to brand his life miserable. His male parent insists that Cory can talk his way out of any bully problems by using his words and Cory takes him literally. He shortly orchestrates events to that the kids call back Cory's begetter works for the mob. Before long, the kids' parents also begin believing the guy is a mobster. So, although Joe is just an insurance salesman, folks thing that he'southward an enforcer and 'insurance' is what folks take to pay in gild to stay healthy! Eventually, all the same, this causes serious bug when a grouping of real mobsters call up Joe is one of them...and by the terminate of the film things become very, very serious...seriously deadly. And so it'due south up to Cory and his friends to salvage the twenty-four hours...presumably considering calling the police would accept been besides difficult.
As I said already, the film has very wide humor and will non appeal to most adults. It conspicuously is thinking nigh things that kids would similar all the same....rude, nasty jokes about farting, defecating and the similar! If yous don't listen your kids watching stuff like this, I'm pretty sure they'll savour it. For anyone else, however, if could be a very, very long movie.
By the style, like many new movies, the reviews that offset are posted on IMDb are curious. I wouldn't fifty-fifty talk that glowingly nearly virtually Disney films...so why all the 10s?

Care for yourself to some unexpected fun
I was excited to bank check this pic out considering yous don't frequently see family movies coming out of the independent film world. The story is clever and endearing and the production value is bang-up.
You lot'll be surprised how quickly you lot get wrapped up in the world of the crazy nonetheless relatable little town (key existence that all towns are crazy to some degree).
While family films aren't my normal viewing practice there'south nothing wrong with giving the thriller/drama/horror genres a break for one night while yous enjoy some good family fun. I call up you'll exist surprised how skillful of a time you lot'll have.

Funny Picture show with Disruptive Bulletin
Alert: Spoilers
Though I did find this movie fun and some of the characters lovable, this flick did not meet my expectations. The movie centers around Cory, a 12 year one-time male child who moves to a new town after his father loses his job. At his new school, Cory is bullied by his classmates, every bit new kids often are. They steal his lunch and squirt him with a water gun, but don't seem to cause any physical harm. Cory does not stand up for himself or tell his instructor. Instead he decides to scare the bullies with a lie that ends up virtually killing his father. The bullies all get Cory'due south friends out of fear that his begetter will kill them. Cory would rather have friends who hang out with him because they are scared of him, and so try to find people who like him for who he is. They all seem to similar Cory afterwards a while, as none of the bullies were actually hateful people. They were just doing some new child hazing or something. Eventually, some existent mobsters have Cory'due south father. Cory reveals the truth to his friends, who are non at all mad at him for threatening their lives. They assistance him rescue his begetter, instead of calling the police. At the end of the movie anybody is prophylactic, Cory has a lot of friends, and he does not suffer any consequences for his actions.
The title of this movie is misleading. A lot of information technology is not even well-nigh bullying, but near the dangers of lying. Cory as well seems to bully the other kids fashion more they bully him, even if it is in self-defense force.
What lesson is this movie trying to teach u.s.? Information technology does not teach the states to stand up upwardly for ourselves or ever go to adults for help. It doesn't teach us that bullying is wrong or any realistic style to deal with bullying. It basically makes bullying seem like a joke. The message appears to be that spreading rumors is an constructive way to make friends and terminate bullying and will non have any consequences. This is fine for a stupid kids movie, simply nothing in this movie can exist applied to real life.

Lots of Laughs - perfect for the whole family!
I take to say: this film actually surprised me. Not sure why I even decided to watch it. And the Picture DELIVERS! I actually love 'message' pictures that deliver without pounding the pulpit, and I love them fifty-fifty more when they become their bulletin across with sense of humor!
Cleverly written; the story moves along without a hitch; the basic plot line is incredibly funny; the casting was really perfect; the performances are well done; kids will 'get' the jokes; plenty of humor for adults too.
It's a pretty perfect little Indie movie. And if yous're looking for family fair, this is an amazing candidate.

Hilarious premise, non-stop laughs
I'll acknowledge, this isn't the kind of movie I normally picket, just I ended upwardly really enjoying it. It takes on the subject field of bullying without beingness preachy. I feel like the film makers really added a fresh perspective, and the final product is elevation tier.
This really is one the whole family unit can savour. Kids will get the jokes, and there'due south plenty sense of humour in there with a wink and a nudge that the grown- ups will enjoy, likewise. The premise of the movie itself is hilarious, and the writing never fails to deliver the laughs. And smart casting choices meant that the actors can actually pull off the dial lines! Perfect for a rainy evening in with the whole family.

Ignore the high ratings for this movie
The acting was bad and the lines were similar that of kids (babies') cartoon (peradventure worse). Information technology was compared to "home solitary" and the "sopranos" but doesn't actually deserve to be mentioned with those movies. The plot seemed interesting and the moving picture could have been better merely the commitment was awful. That's what spoiled the film for me.
It does impact the theme of anti-bullying (every bit suggested) but that'south near it. I don't think this film should exist marketed to anyone over the age of half-dozen or 7.
I was mislead into watching the moving-picture show (thinking it would be skilful) because the reviews and the ratings. I would propose ignoring them for this title. If you practise want to watch this picture show, don't get in with any expectations.

Kids yes, adults no
This is quite possibly one of the superlative ten worst movies I have ever seen. The acting, especially past the dad, is absolutely horrific. But my 7 & 11 twelvemonth old idea information technology was good (not great). My married woman and I cringed so many times that when I started counting later 30 minutes, I lost rails by the end of the pic. I cannot believe the high reviews which is why we watched it in the commencement place. A very LOW budget film. The plot is bad. The acting is bad. The directing is bad. It actually is bad. The bulletin in the end, however, is good. And while the pieces fall together, I will add that my youngest, who laughs when she farts said she thought information technology was good.

Clever premise with fun and laughs!
Surprisingly fun film! Lots of clever lines and adept surprises in this family film. The family unit in it is very likable - and seem similar they could be a family on one of the TV comedy shows. The begetter, female parent and immature son all have a vulnerability that is charming and endearing. They seem real and conceivable. Moving to a new town is e'er challenging - and here we follow the family unit that gets into trouble - only in a different manner than we've seen before. The male parent- son relationship is besides quite good. It shows caring merely not sappiness. When the male child gets attacked past bullies, information technology could be even stronger - only seems similar they wanted to continue it lighthearted all the manner through. It'due south unusual to see a comedy moving-picture show that tries to end with a message about "stopping bullying" - but this one does it with funny twists and turns rather than making it shocking and sad. Overall, take to say many lines were express mirth-out- loud, and the young actors did a actually good job. For a pocket-sized film with no name actors, everyone did laudable interim and made it piece of work as a prissy family comedy. Had the season of a "Home Alone" or "Diary of a Wimpy Kid." Enjoyed it with the kids. Definitely laughed out loud in a number of places.

Delightful family unit motion-picture show with a moral
Indie films tend to be either high concept or character driven with lots of angst. Information technology's so refreshing to come across this indie film – a family comedy. And it's well executed.
Information technology's fifty-fifty more than refreshing to see the serious field of study of bullying tackled in a humorous nonetheless satisfying way. The story line is clever and the whole movie works.
It'due south well shot and well acted. The parents practice a terrific job, and the kids are infectious.
How to Crush a Bully is a well-made movie that tackles a very existent social problem that has a proficient moral and that's enjoyable and fun to watch!

loved how to beat a not bad
This movie was very enjoyable to watch. The acting was very good. This movie should be watched by the whole family unit. It's a wonderful family movie that parents and their kids can lookout man together. I liked how the picture show has an underlying theme well-nigh bullying where the bullied kid used friendship to win over his bullies and became friends. This was a fun flick that my nephew & niece watched over & over again. The writing was clever and fun. For a indie film, I thought the movie was well done. The kid who played the lead Cory did a cracking job and his parents did a swell task every bit well. I liked how the kids took matters into their own hands and saved Cory's begetter from the mobsters. It showed how kids tin can exist friends. i thought it was very funny that the local mobsters and in that location were merely 3 of them mistook the male parent, Joe to exist a henchman from some other mob gang from the East coast when he was really an insurance salesman. The male parent & female parent were positive part models in the style they showed their son how to make friends w/bullies in his grade.

Well done, express joy out loud, family motion picture.
I institute out about this movie when the writer and executive producer, Marilyn Anderson, posted about the movie in a film industry Facebook group I am also a member of. I knew my son would enjoy information technology because of the type of motion-picture show it was regarded to be like in style to, merely I idea I would be groaning silently to myself as I have with other movies he has watched.
This was further from the truth. Not but was my son laughing out loud, my husband and I found ourselves genuinely laughing along with him. The actors were great in line delivery without over acting to make the movie cheesy. This is the type of movie we would pay to see in movie theaters.
My son has already watched this ii more times today since our first viewing last dark and every bit we have 5 more days of rental (Thanks, Amazon!) we will be certain to meet it at least a dozen more times this week. Needless to say, when the DVD comes out, nosotros will be purchasing a re-create. I highly recommend this to anybody, whether you take kids or not.

Anybody should watch this movie!
How To Beat A Slap-up hilarious and great for all ages! The writing is witty and extremely well washed.
The actors brought the lines to life and had keen comedic timing.
Although bullying tin exist a serious subject, this motion picture brings light to the situation while too making a huge affect. It presents a great bulletin that comedy and humor tin can be found in any and all situations. I highly recommend this movie. It is especially slap-up for the younger generation. The jokes are not express to one specific age group and it'southward a proficient family moving-picture show.
I watched this with my college roommates who thought it was extremely funny, relatable and insightful. I give this pic and x/ten. Well done!
